As previously announced, the Customer Relations Department will move from the third floor to the newly renovated sixth floor on October 8. The department will continue operating during the move, but employees may have limited access to printers and meeting rooms that morning.

From October 6 through October 9, all courier deliveries addressed to Customer Relations will be held at the ground-floor reception desk. Employees expecting urgent packages should monitor the delivery notifications sent by the courier and collect their items personally. Reception staff cannot deliver packages to individual desks during this period.

The department's telephone numbers and postal address will not change. However, visitors with appointments on October 8 should be instructed to check in at reception, where a staff member will direct them to a temporary meeting area on the second floor.

intention(意図)、prediction(予測)、obligation(義務)はいずれも「申請を承認する権限」と結びつかない。
2B · did the company anticipate否定倒置否定の意味を持つ副詞 Little が文頭に来ると、主節は部分倒置になる——助動詞が主語の前に出て did the company anticipate となる。
comprehensible(理解できる、形容詞だが意味が合わない)、comprehensively(副詞)、comprehension(名詞、理解力)はいずれも review を修飾できない。
contrary to(〜に反して)、in behalf of(標準形は on behalf of、〜を代表して)、with respect for(〜を尊重して)はいずれも意味が合わない。
6A · Limited use of some office facilities詳細問題本文の "employees may have limited access to printers and meeting rooms that morning."
7C · Collect them from reception themselves推奨される行動の問題本文の "Employees expecting urgent packages should monitor the delivery notifications... and collect their items personally. Reception staff cannot deliver packages to individual desks..."
8B · They will meet employees on the second floor.推論問題本文の "visitors with appointments on October 8 should be instructed to check in at reception, where a staff member will direct them to a temporary meeting area on the second floor."

    greater discretion(より大きな裁量権)は権限を委譲する制度系の文でよく使われる。intention(意図)、prediction(予測)、obligation(義務)はいずれも「申請を承認する権限」という意味に合わない。

  2. 02

Little did the company anticipate...。

apart from(〜を除いて)、owing to(〜のため)、in favor of(〜に賛成して)はいずれも意味が合わない。

  4. 04

comprehensible(理解できる)、comprehensively(副詞)、comprehension(名詞、理解力)は品詞または意味が合わない。

contrary to(〜に反して)、in behalf of(標準形は on behalf of)、with respect for(〜を尊重して)は意味または形式が合わない。

  6. 06

"limited access to printers and meeting rooms" は「どんな困難に遭うか」に直接対応する(第6問)。"should monitor... and collect their items personally" は「何をすべきか」に答える鍵となる文で、その後の "Reception staff cannot deliver..."

We conducted a comprehensive review of our current procedures before implementing the new policy.
Visitors should check in at reception, where they will be directed to the appropriate meeting area.
Any issues discovered subsequent to delivery should be reported within five business days.
Department heads now have greater discretion in approving remote-work requests.
